SLOW COOKER SHREDDED CHICKEN BREAST RECIPE
2 pounds chicken breasts (3-5 breasts, depending on their size)
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

INSTRUCTIONS
Place the chicken in the slow cooker in a single layer. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.

Pour chicken broth over the seasoned chicken. I flip the chicken upside down and then upright again before placing it on the lid. Place the lid on and cook on low for 6 hours, until the chicken shreds easily with a fork.

Using two forks, shred the chicken (this can be done on a cutting board or right in the slow cooker).

NOTES
Transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

This chicken is a great starter for chicken salad, tacos, sandwiches, burritos, and quesadillas.
