Being a superhero is not all it’s cracked up to be sometimes. Especially when those times involve you being raised by an interdimensional being posing as a millionaire inventor and entrepreneur and adventurer because why not. With that much stacked up it’s almost a cinch that your father trainer is going to be an absolute nightmare. No kindly and wise Professor X this time, instead you get The Monocle himself, Reginald Hargreeves and his Umbrella Academy. For two seasons they’ve gone from failing to save the world to failing again hopefully to get it right the third time. Only…kinda. After failing to prevent and preventing Viktor Hargreeves from going Katie Kaboom the folks of the Umbrella Academy face their greatest challenge…another person they helped destroy the universe because powers are hard and time travel is difficult. With so many time loop-de-loops and plans within plans within…why are they fighting giant samurai? And did Reginald really just create a group of superheroes to gain access to the settings menu on reality? Who’s plan was this and who did it work out for? Are the Sparrows the challenge they seem like or are they really just a set of peas in a pod with the Umbrella Academy? Can you really hang this all on poor Harlan? That guy has had it rough. Let’s breakdown the ending of The Umbrella Academy and what it might mean for the characters involved. Is it still a happy ending if the biggest heel of the series came out on top even after getting an ax to the dome. What detail did you pick up from the ending?
