Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian met his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, as well as a spokesperson for the Houthi movement, in Muscat on Monday morning.
During Abdollahian’s meeting with Al Busaidi, the ministers discussed ways to expand relations in the political, economic and cultural fields, after which they held talks on the region’s issues.
Abdollahian also held talks with the Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said.
In another meeting on the same day, the Iranian Foreign Minister met with the official spokesperson of the Houthi movement Muhammad Abd al-Salam in the Omani capital.
On his arrival in the Sultanate, Abdollahian described the relations between Tehran and Muscat as ‘long-standing and stable.’
