LIVE: US President Biden hosts “Democracy Summit”: day 1

US President Joe Biden hosts a virtual “Democracy Summit” on Thursday, December 9.

The event, which will last for 2 days, will gather representatives of about 100 states. Russia, China and Turkey are among some countries which have been left out of the summit.
