Lebanon announced a day of mourning for Friday after a protest over the Beirut port blast killed as many as six people and injured dozens on Thursday.
Bloodshed started after snipers started firing on protesters from rooftops according to Lebanon’s Interior Minister.
The protest was organised by Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, who had accused the judge presiding over port blast inquiry Tarek Bitar of bias in his investigation into the 2020 port blasts, which killed more than 200 people.
