Protests against the so-called ‘Green Pass’ have been ongoing in Trieste, Italy since last week, after Italy moved to make its COVID health pass mandatory for all workers.

“Green Pass’ a form of evidence of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, but it may also include a negative test result.

The measure which was approved in September has been described as one of the world’s strictest COVID measures.

Workers without a health pass are suspended without pay and could face fines up to 1,500 euros ($1,730). The measure was reportedly introduced to encourage more workers to get their shots.
